Chris is the lead pastor at DBC. He arrived in October of 2005, as has served churches in NC, VA, and GA. He has an undergrad degree from Wake Forest University and a couple more from Southeastern Seminary. He has been married to Tiffany since 1994, and the Lord has blessed their home with three beautiful children: Mary Beth, Jenna, and Elijah. Chris likes to joke that he has nicknamed his kids Eeenie, Meenie, and Miney, because he ain’t having no Moe. His passion in life is to see his wife and kids radiate with the joy of Jesus, and to carefully preach the gospel with relevance, conviction, humor, and transformation. He really believes that God made us to connect with Him through Jesus, to connect with each other, and to connect with the world in a way that makes a difference. He’s always looking for someone to eat lunch with, so feel free to call him if your lunch hour is free.”

What's the farthest you've traveled, or where would you love to travel?
I’d love to take a trip to Italy some day.

What do you do in your spare time?
Read, play with the kids, talk with the wife, play a little music, cook, drink coffee, cheer for Wake Forest.

What makes you unique (something no one knows about you)?
I do everything with the left side of my body, except throw. I also can juggle and ride a unicycle, but not at the same time!

Besides ice cream, what is your favorite food?
Shrimp!
